From Sunny Ireland to Rainy Plantation..

We had a fantastic trip to Ireland! Looked at over 40 horses! Claire Ryan took us to The famous Ringwood Stud which was a highlight for both Jill and myself as there have been many world class horses to come from there.
We saw 15 young horses ranging in age 3 years old to 6 years old. We also went to Fernhill and saw Carol Gee and looked at 18 more horses from 4 year olds through to the advanced level eventers. This was the best trip that I have had looking at horses with such great  quality!
I flew back back Friday and competed 6 horses at Plantation in the pouring rain all day Saturday, which then resulted in a cancelled event on Sunday because the ground was so wet.
That also marked my last event on Amore' and Amaretto, as they have found new homes.  Congratulations to their new owners Karri and Steve Guy on the purchases on these 2 top class horses!
Looking forward to Fair Hill this weekend! Hope to see you there.

From Aiken to Morven to Ireland!

It was a first time for me at Morvan, we did the event on the way home from Aiken to West Grove.
I competed 1 horse on Saturday and 4 on Sunday!

We ended up having a great weekend with a win in Novice on a very impressive 5 yr old ISH and a 2nd place on Amore in a very competive novice class!  Gambado and Count had personal bests in dressage with scores with all Sundays horses going clear xc!

Saturday I had a catch ride,  which was an education when we had a stop on the xc, it was a learning point for both horse, rider and owner!

I am about to board a plane bound for Ireland to find myself a new eventer!
Will keep everyone posted on how the trip goes.
