A Wet Weekend At Pine Top!

It was a wet weekend at Pine Top!  I rode 3 Intermediate horses and 1 Prelim -  All jumping around clear on XC.
Frankie
Frankie was the first ride of the day, putting in a solid dressage test and jumping around the xc like a cat, pulling out a fifth leg coming out of the water - saving his jockey!

Classic took the challange on like a seasoned upper level horse, jumping questions he had never seen before without hesitation.

Classic
Curran Simpsons DDay stepped it up a notch to jump around his first Intermediate with a clear SJ and XC!  I am very excited about all 3 of these horses who are all aimed for a 2 star this year.  They will be right up there with the best of them!
Dday
Finally the sun came out on sunday for the Prelim and Charlotte Collis' NZ sport horse, Balmoral Mighty Legend, also jumped a clear SJ and XC at her first event of the year.

A big thank you to Steve and Karri for coming along and helping out all weekend.
Back to Sporting days this upcoming weekend.
Cheers ~ Ryan

3 Days In Paradise!

Summit Sport Horses' Powell
Woodstock eventing took 12 horses to Paradise farm with myself on 10, Chris and Nikki each riding 1.
We took home 3 wins, 2 seconds, a third and a eighth place!

Ilona English's Summit Sport Horses impressed us all weekend - starting with Powell who lead from start to finish scoring an impressive 20.5 in the dressage, at is first event!
Chris rode Popeye to a tee for a second place in the novice on a 24. Illinza and Grand Traverse both jumped superbly adding nothing to their dressage score.

Woodstock Wallaby owned by Mark and Linda Ledray is getting better and better, winning the training divison on a 24, with his competive stable mate Woodstock Bennett, owned by Curran and Margy Simpson, taking blue in the other training divison also scoring a 24! It will be interesting to see who can win when they go head to head next week!

Charlotte and Jill Collis' Woodstock Willpower and Mighty Midas had a great go, with Will having his second event and jumping around like an old pro. Midas was 3rd in the novice adding nothing to a great dressage score of a 25.

Sherry Stephenson's Murry had his first training event at Paradise which was like the Training Olympics, Murry stepped up to the plate coming in 2nd to the Wallaby in a very competive divison.

Magic Replica, owned by Mary Hazzard, was having a great round until he pecked on landing jumping into the water and both of us went for a swim - not quiet warm enough weather for swimming yet!

Nikki was almost there for the win on her own Woodstock's Little Nev, having a green moment xc.  Watch out for this pair at the next event.

Sergio
And finally my own Shannondale Sergio, brother to Woodstock Bennett and Mighty Midas, was foot perfect - going the best that he has thus far in his training. I am very excited about this young irish horse. Sergio will compete at full gallop in March and is looking for an owner or part owner to help take us to the top!

This coming weekend is Pine Top, look forward to seeing you there.

Another Fun Pine Top!

Classic
5 horses from Woodstock Eventing went this past weekend to Pine Top! Ryan was aboard Classic, Frankie and Dday while Curran took Flame and Chris was competing Commanche.
Frankie
John Williams built a super track, giving horses at all levels the confidence to cruise around XC. There were challenging questions asked of the horses with good lead up fences.
All horses jumped great XC with everyone going clear.

Classic
Classic was very impressive at his first go at Intermediate, giving the feeling that he will go all the way.  Frankie was the star he is, jumping great and is well on the way to qualifying for the Bromont 2 Star!
Dday
Dday was foot perfect, with the win in sight we were given some time faults which we shouldn't have gotten, still to finish a credible 3rd place.

Commamche the super pony stepped it up jumping double clear defying the odds!

Sporting Days Put On A Great Event!

Woodstock Wallaby showing off the ECP Event Pad!
After a chilly start to the day, at 20 degrees, it warmed up to perfect eventing weather!

All the horses jumped fantastic - adding nothing to their dressage scores.

We placed 2nd 3 times - On Woodstock Wallaby with his new owners there to see him go, (Linda and Mark) we are very excited to have them on board with Joey.
A huge Thank you to Jean Detert for sponsoring entries for Woodstock Wallaby while we are in Aiken!

Jill and Charlotte Collis'  two 5 yr olds did equally as well at their first event.  Mighty Midas ISH, by Shannondale Sarco- brother to Bennett, impressing me all day to take home the red. Woodstock Will Power was faultless, jumping around like an old pro with a second place as well.

Summit Sport horse's Iliniza put in a solid test and was also great in the jumping placing 6th.
Nikki and Charlie had their first outing, both having great performances.

Congratulations to Linda Ledray having her first event with a super round on Jet Blu placing 5th!
