Zanadoo Works His Magic At Waredaca’s Spalding Labs/USEA Young Event Horse Competition

The following is compliments of the USEA website:

Sarah Hughes’ Zanadoo loped easily around the Spalding Labs/USEA Young Event Horse Course at Waredaca Horse Trials to earn the highest score in the five-year-old division. Ryan Wood piloted the Dutch Warmblood gelding (Gentleman x Sentimental) who just arrived in the United States in early March of this year. Caspar, owned by Susan/Matt Schmidt and Matt Flynn, took top honors in the four-year-old class. Three-year-old Little Miss Moonshine, owned and handled by Emmi Holmes, and two-year-old Skylark WS, owned and handled by Jill Windsor, won their respective Future Event Horse classes.

Results from Fair Hill

I rode 5 horses at Fair Hill on the weekend of the 15th, and the ground was perfect for galloping XC. It was great to be riding Rail Road Man Jim for the first time this year at an event. He jumped fantastic, I rode him slow XC and he finished 7th.

I had two stallions in the Training division, Avebury WF (pictured here) who finished on his dressage score to place 5th and Count Tolstoy jumped great to finish 7th. I also rode two 5 year old horses in the Novice division: Alcatraz and Zanadoo who are by the same sire Heart Breaker, they were 1st and 2nd after dressage scoring 25.2 and 25.7. They both were very good in their jumping phases, finishing 1st and 4th.

We had this past weekend off and then we're heading to Waradaca..........

MCTA Results!

Wolf was 2nd place in the Advanced at MCTA this past weekend after doing a solid dressage score of 35 then going clear in the showjumping and cross country!

It was a hot weekend and the event organizers did a great job supplying water and ice at the finish of the cross country. There were some changes to the cross country course from previous years including the coffin which rode really well.

A big thank you to Aileen & Janie for all their help on Sunday!
