Ryan and Team Woodstock had a great time competing at Fair Hill this past weekend. Ryan rode 5 horses from Novice through Preliminary and was thrilled with each of their performances. You can always rely on Fair Hill to put on a well organized Event, with excellent footing, making it one of our favorite outings that we are lucky to compete at multiple times a season.

Sarah Hughes' Zeizos PC: Mimi Falb |
In the Open Preliminary divisions, Ryan rode Cobra and Zeizos, both owned by Sarah Hughes. In OP A, Zeizos jumped a double clear cross country round, adding just one rail to his dressage score to finish strong in sixth place. Cobra competed in the OP C division, scoring an impressive 29 in the dressage, jumping clean cross country, and adding one rail to finish in second place.
Summit Sporthorses' Ruby PC: Steve Berkowitz |
The lower level horses proved once again how much talent they have with great performances all weekend. Summit Sporthorses' Ruby had a stand out dressage test scoring a 23.8, and following it up with two double clear jumping rounds to finish in first place in the Open Training D division, making this her second win in a row. Ryan also piloted Mary Hazzard's Isabella C in the Open Training A division. This talented young mare scored a 24.3 in the dressage, and had a few green rails but finished strong with a double clear cross country round to take home ninth place.
Jill Collis' Twain Heading to X-Ctry |
Jill Collis' Twain, who was imported from Ireland in 2014, continues to show just how much talent he has for the future. Ryan and Twain put down a lovely dressage test to score 29.8 and made easy work of the jumping phases adding nothing to that score to finish in fourth place in the Open Novice A division.
Sending out a huge congratulations to Charlie Campbell who rocked it around the Preliminary with his self made Irish Sport Horse, Shannondale Nimbus. Also a big thank you to Mary Hazzard and to our super groom Stacey for all their help ensuring each horse received the best possible care. We are grateful to have such a great team of sponsors, owners, and horses.
