Pine Top Spring HT Recap

Ryan and Team Woodstock competed at the Pine Top Spring Horse Trials in Thompson, Georgia last weekend. Ryan had four horses competing across the two Open Preliminary divisions.

Ryan rode Mary Hazzard's Isabella C and Curran Simpson's Fernhill Flame in the Open Preliminary-A division. Both horses put in strong performances in the dressage phase to be placed 2nd and 4th going into the jumping phases. They both jumped double clean in stadium and clean on cross-country, with Flame adding just a few time penalties to his dressage score. Isabella C finished in 2nd on her dressage score of 29.3 and Fernhill Flame in 3rd on a score of 33.2.

Ryan also competed with Woodstock Eventing's Shannondale Sergio and Sarah Hughes' Cobra in the Open Preliminary-B division. Sergio and Cobra both put in good dressage tests and jumped clean in stadium and on cross-country, adding just a few time faults. Shannondale Sergio finished in 6th place and Cobra in 8th place.

Ryan and Team Woodstock will travel to the Carolina Horse Park in Raeford, North Carolina this coming weekend to compete in the Carolina International Horse Trials.
