Woodstock Eventing at the 2016 Nutrena USEA AEC

Well, this was an amazing experience at my very first AECs! We took 7 top-class horses to compete against the nation's best and we didn't disappoint, with each horse having a solid run.

Sarah Hughes' Shannondale Percy and Mary Hazzard's Issabella C did great in the Preliminary Horse division, with both horses jumping double-clear cross-country to finish in 4th and 7th place respectively. Summit Sporthorses' Ruby contested the Open Intermediate, placing 10th out of over 50 entries.

I rode 4 horses in the Advanced Gold Cup Finals. Heather Sinclair's McLovin and the Fernhill Classic Syndicate's Fernhill Classic finished in the top 20 in a tough division. The Woodstock Bennett Syndicate's Woodstock Bennett jumped double-clear in stadium to move up to 2nd place, and Summit Sporthorses' Powell held onto the lead after cross-country to finish the weekend in 1st place. We had an incredible event, coming home the Advanced National Champion and Reserve Champion!

The facilities at Tryon Equestrian Center are mind-blowing, from the stables and arenas to the restaurants and bars. Thank you to everyone who worked hard to put on a spectacular show. We hope to be back soon!

As always, a huge thank you to my hardworking crew and team of incredible owners and sponsors. This wouldn't be possible without all of you!
