Woodstock Eventing at Paradise Farm

Woodstock Eventing had a busy Friday competing at Paradise Farm in Aiken. Ryan rode 8 horses over 3 phases all during one day of competition. Thank you to Woodstock Eventing's hard working team who kept things running smoothly all day.

Mystic Hazzard
Ryan rode 5 across 3 Open Training divisions. In Open Training A, Mary Hazzard's Mystic Hazzard scored a 34.1 for 4th followed by Curran Simpson's Tullabeg Dilson in 5th on a score of 34.3. Ryan took 2nd and 5th place in the Open Training B with Cheryl Gamboney's Gambado and Curran Simpson's RF Cosmos. Gambado performed a solid test to earn a 31.9 and jumped double clear to finish 2nd. RF Cosmos took the lead after dressage on a 31, but unfortunately had 1 unlucky rail to finish 5th. Linda Ledray's Cooley Flight finished 4th on his dressage score of 33.1 in the Open Training C division.

The Novice level horses also had a successful day. Cooley Shutterfly Cruise owned by Monique Sanchez, improved his dressage score and earned a 34.8 to finish 6th in Open Novice A. In Open Novice B, Summit Sporthorses' Eiffel performed one of her best tests to score a 32.4 for 8th place. Woodstock Eventing's Assistant Rider, Nicole Etheridge rode Popstar owned by Summit Sporthorses to a 4th place finish on a score of 30. Nicole also rode her own Vanquish to an 8th place finish in Open Novice C on a final score of 37.3. Also competing in Open Novice C, Ryan rode Cooley by Design in his second competition since arriving in the U.S. Cooley by Design earned a 34.8 in dressage and finished on his dressage score in 7th place.
 
This coming weekend, Woodstock Eventing will compete at Pine Top Advanced Horse Trials with 8 horses. Stay tuned for a full report!
