Woodstock Eventing Kicks Off 2020 In Aiken

Woodstock Eventing has kicked off 2020 in Aiken at Curran and Margy Simpsons' beautiful Victoria Farm. Victoria Farm is located next door to Phillip Dutton's Red Oak Farm in the Bridle Creek Equestrian Development. The facility boasts a bank complex and portable Beginner Novice to Intermediate cross-country jumps. We have a great team of people and horses, and are excited for all that is to come in the New Year!

We have been busy taking advantage of all Aiken has to offer. In addition to the great facility we work out of daily, we have been enjoying schooling show jumping at Bruce's Field every Tuesday. It has been great practice for our young horses to experience a show atmosphere and warm up ring. Our upper level horses benefited as well, and their ride ability and carefulness improves with each round.

Our first competition of the season was Stable View Farm's Aiken Opener H.T. Ilona English's CCI2*-L 2019 Champion, Ruby finished 4th in Open Preliminary-A with a dressage score of 33.7. Linda Ledray's talented young horse Cooley Flight also delivered a Top 5 finish in the Open Preliminary-B with a dressage score of 31.5 and 4th place. The beautiful mare, Bellavista owned by the Bellavista Syndicate scored an impressive 21.9 in Open Novice-B and maintained her almost 5 point lead to win the division.
This weekend we will be competing at Sporting Days Farm February H.T., before heading to Wellington for the $50,000 MARS Eventing Showcase
