Woodstock Eventing fit in a final run at Pine Top Spring Horse Trials last weekend. The weather was perfect and all the horses delivered great performances to finish out a successful winter season in Aiken.
Rembrandt owned by the Rembrandt Syndicate scored a 33.5 in the Open Intermediate-A division to sit in second place after dressage. Ryan and Rembrandt climbed up the leaderboard with their clean and fast rounds to finish 2nd in the competitive 14-horse division.
In Open Preliminary-A, Ilona English's talented mare Ruby scored a 26.3 and took the lead after dressage. She jumped beautifully but had an unlucky rail to finish in 2nd. Competing in Open Preliminary-B, Ryan rode Linda Ledray's Cooley Flight. Cooley Flight scored a 33.3 in the dressage and added only 0.8 time penalties on cross-country to his score to finish 4th.
Ruby's half brother, Ben Nevis owned by Ilona English, won his division for the second consecutive time! In the 16-horse Open Training-A division, Ben scored a 29.3 in dressage and held his lead from start to finish. Sale horse Oberon Van Heiste scored a 35.7 in the Open Training-B division. In just his second Training level competition, Obi added zero penalties to his score to finish 7th.
Bellavista owned by the Bellavista Syndicate continues to improve. She had a fantastic performance over the weekend to finish in 2nd on her dressage score of 23.6 in the Open Novice-A division. Ryan schooled Annie Dewitt's Off Shore Cooley around the Novice course this weekend. Off Shore Cooley scored a 31.4 in dressage and jumped clear around both cross-country and show jumping. Amy Peloquin and Frankie competed in the Sr. Novice Rider division and added zero penalties to their dressage score of 37.4 to finish 3rd.
