Woodstock Eventing Returns To Competition

Bellavista
It was a successful weekend for Woodstock Eventing at Plantation Field Horse Trials. This was our first show back since COVID-19 put a halt to our spring and summer plans. All of the horses enjoyed stretching their legs and it was great to test what they have been working hard on at home in front of a judge and in a competition setting. We are looking forward to getting back in the swing of things.
Ryan rode 4 horses across the Novice and Training level divisions. The Bellavista Syndicate’s Bellavista scored a 32.9 in dressage and moved up the leaderboard to finish 2nd in a competitive Open Training-A division. Ilona English's Ben Nevis led the Open Training-B division from start to finish. He scored an impressive 22.9 in dressage and maintained his 7 point lead to win the division. Ryan piloted Annie DeWitt's Confidence Level in Open Novice-A to an 8th place finish on a dressage score of 31.2. Monique Sanchez's Cooley Shutterfly Cruise also had a good school, and an educational weekend with Ryan in the irons.
Team Woodstock Eventing had a great weekend too. In the Novice Rider division, Annie DeWitt finished 3rd with her own Offshore Cooley, also Amy Peloquin and Frankie finished 5th. Maya Chinana piloted Ilona English's Popstar to a 4th place finish in the Open Novice-A division. Curran Simpson rode his own Fernhill Flame to a 10th place finish in the Open Novice-B division. In the Beginner Novice Rider division, Logan Moore rode Cooley Jet Set to a 9th place finish.
Overall, it was a great weekend with excellent results for our first competition back. More competitions to come!
