Bellavista
Earlier this month Woodstock Eventing arrived in Aiken, SC at Curran and Margy Simpsons' beautiful Victoria Farm for the 2021 winter season. We are excited for a great year of training and competition and have a great team of riders and horses ready to compete. Over the weekend, we competed 8 horses at Stable View's Aiken Opener H.T.
All of the horses had solid performances and confident starts to the year. In Open Preliminary-A, Mary Hazzard's Chusinmyconfession scored a 30.4 in dressage and jumped clean to finish 10th. Linda Ledray's Cooley Flight scored a 34.6 in dressage and jumped double clear to move up the leaderboard to finish 5th in Open Preliminary-B.
Woodstock Argo and the Bellavista Syndicate's Bellavista competed in the competitive Open Training and Training Horse divisions. Woodstock Argo completed his second training level event adding only time to his dressage score of 38.1. Bellavista finished 10th in the Training Horse division with a 26.9 in dressage and a final score of 37.7.
Linda Ledray's Check Point was the winner this past weekend! Check Point scored an impressive 23.6 in dressage to put him 3 points ahead of the pack. He jumped double clear to finish on his dressage score and take home the blue in the Novice Horse division.
Ilona S. English's talented Ben Lomond finished 2nd in the Open Novice-A division on a 26.9 after only adding an unlucky rail to his fantastic dressage score of 22.9. Annie Dewitt's Confidence Level finished 5th in the Open Novice-B division on his dressage score of 30.7. Assistant Rider Maya Chinana piloted Ilona S. English's Popstar to a 3rd place finish in the Open Beginner Novice division.
Coming up next, we will be competing at Sporting Days Farm on February 6th. Stay tuned for a full report!
