Woodstock Eventing hit the ground running since returning from horse shopping in Ireland. The team held down the fort and had all the horses ready for a busy weekend of competition at Pine Top Spring Horse Trials in Georgia. Ryan made the hour drive to ride four horses in the Intermediate and Training divisions. A cool and windy weekend finished with top placings and a blue ribbon.
Linda Ledray's Cooley Flight made easy work of his first Intermediate. Ryan and Blue scored a 31.9 for 12th place after dressage. Blue jumped great in the show jumping despite one unlucky rail and galloped easily around the course to move up the leaderboard and finish 7th.
Curran Simpson's Woodstock Argo and Cooley Continental impressed in the Open Training-A division. Ryan and Woodstock Argo scored a 30.5 in dressage and finished on their score to win the division. Cooley Continental was not far behind landing a top 10 spot and finishing 7th on his dressage score of 37.9.
Ilona S. English's Ben Nevis performed a lovely dressage test to score 30.7 in the Open Training-B division. Ryan and Ben Nevis cruised around the cross country and show jumping and added zero penalties to their score to finish 5th.
Coming up, Woodstock Eventing is looking forward to competing at Stable View Spring FEI CCI-S this weekend!
