Woodstock Eventing is back home after a winning weekend at MARS Great Meadow International in Virginia. Ryan took home the MARS Preliminary II division win aboard Bellavista. Bellavista is a 7-year-old warmblood mare by Cimarron and owned by the Bellavista Syndicate. Ryan and Bella performed a beautiful test to score a 29.6 in dressage. Ryan and Bella delivered one of only four double clear rounds on cross country in the division to finish on their dressage score and capture the win!
In the Preliminary I division, Julia Strawbridge’s The Optimist also earned a 29.6 in dressage. Ryan and The Optimist kept the rails up to move up the leaderboard after show jumping. They jumped clear on cross country and added 2.4 time penalties to finish on a final score of 32 and in 5th place.
Linda Ledray’s Cooley Flight excelled in the first CCI3*-S of his career. Cooley Flight earned a 33.7 in dressage, jumped a beautiful clear show jumping and only added 6.8 time penalties on cross country. Ryan and Cooley Flight finished 22nd out of the 67 horse field. Mary Hazzard’s Chusinmyconfession contested only the dressage phase of the CCI3*-S and performed a solid test to score a 31.5.
