Woodstock Eventing Pulls Out Hat Trick at Virginia Horse Trials

Cooley Continental

What a weekend for Woodstock Eventing at the Virginia Horse Trials! Ryan emerged with not just the win, but also with second and third in the Preliminary Horse division. Curran Simpson's Cooley Continental claimed the win with a final score of 31.9. Julia Strawbridge's talented mare Carmella took second place with a 33.1. Last but certainly not least, Linda Ledray's Checkpoint rounded out the top three with a final score of 34.2. These young horses really stepped up to the challenge and pulled out a hat trick win to finish the eventing season in a big way.

To complete a busy weekend, Ryan also rode syndicate owned Bellavista in Open Preliminary. The duo earned a 32.8 in dressage and added zero penalties to their dressage score after jumping double-clear cross country. They jumped a beautiful show jump round but had an unfortunate rail to finish 8th.

Stay tuned for more from Woodstock Eventing.
