Flora Lea Horse Trials and Plantation Fields International Horse Trials marked two beautiful weekends for Ryan’s fall season. The young horses all jumped clear around their novice and training rounds while the upper level horses took some of the toughest tracks of the year in stride.

Woodstock Argo finished second in the Open Training at Flora Lea after staying on his dressage score of 30.8. Not too far behind was Fernhill Domino whose tiny bit of XC time landed him a fourth place finish. In the Open Novice, The Optimist finished on his 29.2 dressage score for a solid second place while Cooley Cadbury came in third place on his 29.7. Campaigned in the Young Event Horse 5 Year-Old division, Castle Cavalier finsihed in seventh on a final score of 76.25

At the “best event ever,” Cooley Flight jumped around a tough and influential CCI 4S track to finish eleventh in a large division. In the 3S, both Chusinmyconfession and Check Point jumped clear across country for two top-thirty finishes in the massive division.
Thank you to Woodstock’s outstanding sponsors and owners that make seamless eventing weekends like these possible. There’s nothing like having such a prestigious level of events practically in your back yard! Cheers to even more double-clears on great horses next month!
