The Road to Recovery

"As the majority of the horse world knows, Tuesday morning at True Prospect Farm there was a fire that will forever be imprinted in our minds.  The lives of many people were affected, and thankfully those who worked through the night to save the horses walked away with physical and emotional wounds which will heal with time.

Words cannot express the sorrow that I feel for all the people who were affected by this fire, which includes a large circle of people.  Being the first responders, I am so amazed at the level of strength & character that Caitlin and Lillian demonstrated during this emergency.  They, along with Boyd and Phillip, made heroic attempts to save the lives of their client’s horses as well as their own equine partners during a life threatening situation.
Boyd, Silva and their team have poured their hearts into training and producing these beautiful event horses.  Their daily efforts producing competition horses go way beyond focusing on winning events.  As every horse person knows, there is a special bond which results from spending each day working closely with these animals, and losing them is incredibly personal.
We are surrounded by a very special team here at TPF, one that goes beyond being drawn together as professional horsemen.  We are all very close and this unique relationship is at the core of what will help us to remain strong, piece ourselves back together and eventually recover.  My heartfelt thanks go out to all who have been part of supporting us during this process."  - Ryan

In addition to the general fund, which is set up to benefit all of the individuals affected by the fire (Boyd, Ryan, TPF, Caitlin, Lillian and all the owners) we have set up individual buttons through SCES, the non-profit based out on the west coast.  Our purpose in setting up the individual funds are for people who wish to see that their funds go directly to their chosen recipient.

I realize that the establishment of all these funds has gotten a bit confusing, but in the end this is about raising much needed funds to help all these people.  Any moneys which have already been donated to the general fund will still benefit the entire group as a whole including Ryan, Caitlin and Lillian......but we wanted to establish individual funds to further simplify the direction of some of the donations.

Please see the buttons listed below & if you have any questions, please direct those questions to Lisa Thomas,

It is going to be a long road to recovery, but there is a strong bond at TPF and all these wonderful people will pull through with your continued support!
