Maryland Horse Trials Recap

Alcatraz

Woodstock Eventing competed at Maryland Horse Trials this past weekend with Ryan riding five horses at the Intermediate level. It is truly amazing to have a group of horses contesting the upper levels and it is very exciting to have watched them get here. Thank you to all of Ryan's owners, sponsors, and team for making it possible.

Frankie

In the Open Intermediate A division, Sarah Hughes' Alcatraz scored a 33.1 in dressage, jumped a double clear show jumping round, and a clear cross country round to take home the win. Frankie owned by Steve and Karri Guy was also in this division and finished close behind his stablemate in sixth place, scoring a 33.3 on the flat and also jumping a double clear show jumping round and clear cross country round.

Powell

Powell, owned by Summit Sporthorses, won the Open Intermediate C division scoring a very impressive 28.1 after dressage and following it up with a double clear show jumping round, and clear cross country round.

Woodstock Wallaby

In the Open Intermediate D division, Woodstock Wallaby owned by Mark Hartsch and Linda Ledray had a stand out weekend scoring a 23.1 on the flat, jumping double clear in show jumping, and clean on cross country to win his division.

Woodstock Bennett

Woodstock Bennett owned by Curran and Margy Simpson scored a 34 in the dressage, jumped a double clear show jumping round, and a clean cross country round to finish in fifth place in the same division.

Ryan was double clear on all horses in show jumping and jumped clear with all of them on the cross country course. He took first place on three horses and placed in the top 6 with the rest. It is a very exciting time in all of these horses careers and Ryan couldn't be more thrilled for their futures and thankful to have each of them and their amazing owners on Team Woodstock.
