Full Gallop/Stable View Recap

The 2016 season has officially started for Team Woodstock who competed at both Full Gallop and Stable View this past weekend.

Stacey and Hannah competed at Full Gallop Farm, with Stacey winning on both Summit Sporthorses' Popeye and Summit Sporthorses' Popstar. Popeye won the Novice division by 7 points on an impressive score of 20, and Popstar won her first horse trial on a score of 31 in the Beginner Novice division.

Hannah had a great run on Magic Replica, jumping clear on both cross-country and in show jumping to finish in 9th in the Novice division.

Meanwhile, Ryan rode seven horses at Stable View Horse Trials. Ryan was very impressed with the exceptional facilities and with the arenas and footing for all three phases. Team Woodstock will definitely be back to this venue to compete in the future.

Ryan competed four horses in the Preliminary division: Mary Hazzard's Isabella C, Sarah Hughes' Cobra, Woodstock Eventing's Shannondale Sergio, and Summit Sporthorses' Ruby. Isabella C won the division on a score of 30.5, with Ruby close behind in 4th place. Cobra was very consistent in all three phases, and Sergio had a very solid run to start off the year.

Jill Collis' Twain was 3rd in a large Training division, Summit Sporthorses' Ben Nevis won his Novice division on a score of 22.3, and Sarah Hughes' Shannondale Percy was all class at his second event on US soil.

We are very excited to have such a quality group of talented horses coming along!

Team Woodstock is in Wellington this weekend for the Eventing Showcase and Ryan is excited to be competing with Woodstock Bennett. Bennett travel well and is feeling ready to go!
