Woodstock Eventing at MCTA Horse Trials

Woodstock Eventing is back from an educational weekend at MCTA Horse Trials in Cockeysville, Maryland. Though the recent rain made it necessary to cancel cross-country on Saturday, the event was successfully modified into a Combined Test - thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the event possible in spite of the weather!

Ryan rode Woodstock Eventing's Shannondale Sergio and Mary Hazzard's Isabella C in the Open Preliminary. Both horses won the dressage, Sergio with a 26.8 and Isabella with 25.0.

Ryan also rode three horses in the Training divisions at MCTA HT. Julia Jenkins' Vamos A Ver scored a 36.4 in dressage. Summit Sporthorses' Ben Nevis won his Training dressage with a 32.9, and Sarah Hughes' Shannondale Percy earned a 23.8 in his Training division to place first. Though the footing was too slick for show jumping, Ryan is pleased with the efforts of all five horses over the weekend.

Stacey Driscoll also had a successful weekend with two rides in Open Novice. She and her own Luck of the Irish earned a 35.7 in dressage and added a single rail to their score to finish the weekend in 6th place. Stacey and Summit Sporthorses' Popstar added just one rail to their dressage score of 28.0 to win their class.

Next weekend, Woodstock Eventing will travel to the Horse Park of New Jersey for the Jersey Fresh International Three-Day Event. Ryan will ride Summit Sporthorses' Powell in the CCI3* and Summit Sporthorses' Ruby in the CIC2*.

Thank you to Ryan's incredible owners, sponsors, and supporters for your support of Ryan and Woodstock Eventing!
