Ryan and Powell Earn Personal Best at Fair Hill International

Woodstock Eventing competed at the Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International event this past weekend with Ryan riding Summit Sporthorses' Powell in the CCI3* division.

 

Powell is an 11 year-old Oldenburg gelding bred by Ilona English of Summit Sporthorses. Powell began his evening career with Ryan in 2013 at the Beginner Novice level and has now completed fourteen FEI competitions. Over the years, Ryan and Powell have consistently earned top placings at the international level.

Powell performed a relaxed and mistake-free test to earn a personal best score of 40.3 which put him into a 3rd place tie after dressage. On Saturday, Ryan piloted Powell around Derek di Grazia's challenging cross-country course, jumping clean and adding just 8.8 time penalties. Ryan and Powell jumped clear and inside the time around Sally Ike's stadium course to finish in 7th place on 49.1.
