Woodstock Eventing's Young Horses Wrap Up 2017 at Waredaca

Atlantic Spring
Team Woodstock had another busy weekend at Waredaca competing seven horses. It was a great event to wrap up the 2017 season for Woodstock Eventing’s young horses.

Ryan rode Julia Strawbridge’s Atlantic Spring in the Open Training division. Atlantic Spring scored a 33.6 in dressage and jumped double clear in both cross-country and stadium to finish in 6th place. In the Training Horse division, Ryan and Summit Sporthorses’ Ben Nevis put in a solid performance in dressage scoring 31.1 and added nothing to their score to finish the competition in 3rd place.

Ben Nevis
Ryan successfully piloted four around the Beginner Novice track to finish on their dressage scores. In just their second competition Curran Simpson’s Tullabeg Dilson finished in 2nd and Amy Peloquin’s Shannondale Julius finished in 3rd. This past weekend was the first competition for Julia Strawbridge’s Insuspense and Summit Sporthorses’ Eiffel. Insuspense finished in 7th and Summit Sporthorses’ Eiffel in 11th. The future is bright for these talented young horses and Ryan is looking forward to bringing them up the levels in 2018.

Core Horn and Summit Sporthorses’ Popstar have been developing their new partnership and this weekend their hard work paid off. Cole and Popstar won the Novice Horse division on their dressage score of 24.5!

This weekend, Woodstock Eventing will travel to Lexington, Virginia to compete at the Virginia CCI/CIC and Horse Trials.
