Ballymurphy Bob Purchased at The Monart Sale

After teaching a great clinic at the Portofino Equestrian Center I jumped on a plane and traveled to Ireland to attend the 8th annual Monart Sale in Wexford.

The Monart Sale is Ireland’s finest selection of talented young horses chosen by a panel of four-star event riders - Polly Jackson (GB), Niall Griffin (IRL) and Bill Levett (AUS) - and vetted by former Team Ireland vet Marcus Swail. The quality of horses presented at the Monart Sale is always impressive and they continue to showcase the best year after year.

I purchased three-year-old Ballymurphy Bob. Bob is an Irish Sport Horse/Thoroughbred cross with full siblings that are excelling in eventing at the three-star level and show jumping at 1.40m. Bob is on his way to the USA and I am looking forward to starting his eventing career this side of the pond.

Kevin Keane purchased a lovely three-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding, Master Brooklyn. He is a talented horse with loads of ability and bloodlines going back to King of Diamonds and Water Serpent. Brooklyn is staying in Ireland to be broken in then will join Kevin in the spring next year.
