Team Woodstock Eventing traveled to Southern Pines, North Carolina to compete at their seventh competition of the season. Ryan had a stellar weekend, finishing on top in large fields of horses at Carolina International.

Woodstock Bennett delivered a solid performance at his first FEI competition since 2016. He jumped boldly around the strong CIC3* track to add only a single rail and time on cross-county to his 37.7 dressage score. Ryan and Bennett finished 23rd in a large field of 58 horses.

Curran Simpson’s Fernhill Flame continues to impress, brining home his third consecutive Preliminary win of 2018! Flame scored a 24.6 in dressage and made his way up the leaderboard with his double clear show jumping and cross-country run. He topped the field of 29 horses and Ryan is excited for more to come from this talented horse.

Ryan also piloted Summit Sporthorses’ Ruby to a 9th place finish in the Open Preliminary-B division. Ruby was consistent throughout the weekend, scoring a 34.2 in dressage and jumping a beautiful clear show jumping round to move up the leaderboard to finish in the top 10.

Following their successful weekend at Carolina International, the Woodstock Eventing team has relocated back to their home base in preparation for upcoming spring events.
