PC: Eventing Nation/Tilly Berendt
Last weekend was an incredible one for Woodstock Eventing! Ryan and the Woodstock Bennett Syndicate's Woodstock Bennett have returned to the States after their 8th place finish at Pau CCI4* in France. Bennett wowed in his four-star debut, and Ryan couldn't be happier with Bennett's performance and their final result.

Ryan and Bennett's partnership began in 2012 when Bennett was imported to the United States from Ireland as a four-year-old. Their strong partnership that has developed over the years and was evident at Pau. From the beginning, Bennett has proven to be a world-class competitor and Ryan is looking forward to more four-stars in his future.

From day one of the competition, Bennett was at his very best. He delivered his best test at the 3* level to date scoring a 34.1 to sit in 36th going into cross-country. Ryan and Bennett skyrocketed up the leaderboard after their clear and fast cross-country round. Bennett exhibited unwavering confidence in Ryan around an extremely difficult Pierre Michelet cross-country course and they galloped strongly home with only 5.2 time penalties which moved them up into the top 10 going into show jumping. On the final day, Bennett tried his heart out and jumped with great power off the ground. They added only a single rail to their score and Bennett finished his first four-star with an impressive 8th place finish.
