Woodstock Eventing Wraps Up Winter in Aiken

Cooley by Design
On Tuesday, Woodstock Eventing competed their final competition down south at Stable View's Spring H.T. They have had a great winter based at Curran and Margy Simpsons' beautiful Victoria Farm in Bridle Creek and are already looking forward to next winter in Aiken. Ryan and his team are heading back home to Pennsylvania to begin preparing and conditioning the horses for upcoming spring horse trials and FEI competitions.

Ryan rode 6 horses across the Novice and Training divisions at Stable View. In the Open Training divisions, Ryan rode Linda Ledray's Cooley Flight, Curran Simpson's Tullabeg Dilson, and Cooley by Design. Cooley Flight and Tullabeg Dilson tied on a 37.5 after dressage. The tie was broken by Cooley Flight coming two seconds closer to the optimum time on cross country to take 9th place and Tullabeg 10th. Cooley by Design scored a 34.8 in dressage and added one rail in show jumping to finish 16th.

In the Open Novice division, Ryan rode Curran Simpson's Oberon Van Heiste, Monique Sanchez's Cooley Shutterfly Cruise, and Amy Peloquin's Cooley Titanium. All three horses tied after dressage on a score of 30.2 and added no penalties to finish the competition on their dressage scores. The placings were determined by time on cross country and Oberon Van Heiste finished closest to the optimum time of 4:50 to take home 8th place. Cooley Shutterfly finished 9th and Cooley Titanium 10th. Also in the Open Novice division, Curran Simpson rode his own RF Cosmos. The pair scored a 32.1 and had a great round cross country.

Coming up next, Woodstock Eventing will travel to Tryon International Equestrian Center to compete at the Fork Horse Trials. Stay tuned for a full report!

Thank you to Woodstock Eventing's incredible team, owners, sponsors, and supporters that make it all possible!
