Woodstock Eventing had a fantastic time at the Horse Park of New Jersey Horse Trials this past weekend. The team at the Horse Park of New Jersey Horse Trials put on an excellent event this past weekend, and it was a nice change to have some cooler weather. The timing worked out perfectly on Saturday, with the last horse finishing just as the rain started. The cross-country course was well designed and asked some good, fair questions, making it an excellent test for the horses.

It was great to have Ilona English of Summit Sporthorses out at the show all day, supporting Ryan on the super horses she bred. Summit Sporthorses' Ruby placed 2nd in the Open Preliminary division, adding one unlucky rail and a few seconds of cross-country time to her dressage score of 26.6. Summit Sporthorses' Powell, Ruby's half-brother, came in 7th in the Open Intermediate, scoring a 32.5 in the dressage and jumping clean around cross-country.
Sarah Hughes' Alcatraz and Cobra were both in fine form over the weekend. Cobra won the Open Preliminary division, finishing on his dressage score of 31.1 after putting in two lovely double clean rounds. Alcatraz was 6th in the Open Intermediate, scoring a 31.7 in dressage and jumping clean on cross-country.
