Summit Sporthorses' Ben Nevis wins his first event! |
Ryan rode three horses in the Preliminary divisions: Summit Sporthorses' Ruby in Open Preliminary-A, and both Mark Hartsch and Linda Ledray's Woodstock Wallaby and Sarah Hughes' Cobra in Open Preliminary-D. All three scored very well in the dressage and jumped two double-clean rounds to finish 2nd, 2nd, and 4th respectively.
Ryan had four horses across the Training divisions, with Ryan's own Woodstock Rolling Rock and Julia Jenkins' Vamos a Ver in Open Training-A, Mary Hazzard's Isabella C in Open Training-D, and Chimene Evans' Shannondale Sam in Open Training-F. Again, all horses put in stellar performances in the dressage and clean and fast jumping phases. Woodstock Rollin Rock and Vamos a Ver finished 4th and 11th respectively, and both Isabella C and Shannondale Sam won their divisions.

Ryan had two in the Beginner Novice-E division, Summit Sporthorses' Ben Nevis and Julia Jenkins' Star Sight. Again, both horses put in lovely dressage tests and then jumped double-clean rounds in cross-country and stadium to finish 1st and 5th.
Hannah Sommer and Stacey Driscoll both competed this weekend as well, placing 3rd and 6th in the Beginner Novice.
With 12 rides on Saturday and 18 rides on Sunday, this wouldn't have been possible if not for the hard word and dedication of the whole Woodstock Eventing team! A special thanks to Mary Hazzard for all her help over the weekend!
