Chusin jumps into the Intermediate water. |
It was a winning weekend for Woodstock Eventing! Ryan traveled to Poolesville, Maryland to compete Mary Hazzard’s Chusinmyconfession and Julia Strawbridge’s Zemapt at Seneca Valley Pony Club Spring Horse Trials. Owner, Curran Simpson also had a great weekend competing his two horses in the Open Novice divisions.
Chusinmyconfession rose to the occasion and delivered her second win of the year. Ryan and Chusin scored a 34 in dressage and jumped a beautiful clear show jumping round. Chusin's quickness and efficiency on cross country couldn’t be matched and she was the only horse in Open Intermediate to make the time on cross country.
Zemapt finished the weekend with his first win at the Preliminary level. He scored a 34.6 in dressage and added only 0.4 time penalties to take home the blue in the Open Preliminary. Zemapt was also the fastest horse on cross country in his division. This talented horse is for sale! For more information on Zemapt, please contact Ryan directly at ryanwoodeventing@gmail.com or 610-836-1011.
Curran rode his own RF Cosmos and Fernhill Flame in Open Novice A and B divisions. Curran and Cosmos scored a 33.1 in dressage and finished 13th in Open Novice A. In Open Novice B, Curran and Flame finished 4th on their dressage score of 33.8.
Up next, Woodstock Eventing will be traveling to Far Hills, New Jersey to compete at the MARS Essex Horse Trials.
Thank you to Woodstock Eventing's incredible team, owners, sponsors, and supporters that make it all possible!
