It has been a busy month for Woodstock Eventing as the entire team of riders and horses (and Snoopy, of course) have settled into their winter homes in Aiken, South Carolina. Riding out of the beautiful Bridle Creek facilities with top amenities, its easy to get everyone in top shape for the year ahead.

After numerous cross-country schools at home and some great show-jump trips around Bruce’s Field, competition officially started at the Stable View Opener Horse Trial with Excel Star Wildwood topping his Beginner Novice Division on a 30.3 while RF Cosmos earned himself a 26.9 and finished in 2nd in his training division. Curran Simpson’s Cooley Continental also ran in the training to take home 6th.

Ryan took four more horses to the Sporting Days February Horse Trial this past weekend for trips around the novice divisions. Excel Star Wildwood was the top finisher after staying on his dressage score of 28.9 for 3rd place! Ben Nevis also finished on his dressage score of 36.1 and took home 7th in the same division. In the next division, Ben Lomond added just one rail to place 4th and Eiffel finished on a dressage score of 34.7 to finish closely behind in 5th.

It is great to see Ryan and his wonderful horses back in action and maintaining his signature clear cross-country rounds. He will be heading to Pine Top’s Intermediate Horse trial next to take the upper level horses around their first competitions of the year.
