As we close out the second month of competition this year, Ryan and his team look back on several great weekends across the board for horses at all levels. Pine Top I marked the first big track that the upper-level horses will take on this season, and the local Jumping Branch Farm Horse Trials gave the youngsters a chance to shine. Finally, Pine Top’s Advanced and second event of the year was this weekend with some awesome Preliminary courses.
Check Point, Cooley Continental, and Cooley Flight all took easy goes around the Preliminary divisions at the first Pine Top but gave some great feelings in all three phases. At the second Pine Top, Check Point only added time to his stellar score of 29.7 to finish 4th in his big Prelim division! Cooley Continental and Ryan’s catch-ride on Isabelle Bosley’s Night Quality had solid rounds to finish 12th in both of their divisions.

Ryan took five horses to Jumping Branch Farm to run the lower-level horse trials and produced all Top Ten results! Ben Lomond took the win in his novice division after maintaining a killer 22.2 in all three phases. Not far behind was Excel Star Wildwood who finished on a 27.8 for 3rd place and Excel Star Heartthrob who finished in 9th. Castle Cavalier took home 3rd place on a 31.4 in the training division and Fernhill Domino proved to be the highest climber of the day, jumping six places to finish in 10th in the training! Notable mention: superstar groom Caitlin Reamy placed 3rd in her training division on El Patrone.
Next week the Eventing Showcase at Bruce’s Field and the next and final Pine Top is just around the corner. Thank you all for your continued support and we cannot wait to be back with more updates on these big events ahead!
