Woodstock Eventing Continues To Produce Top Results With Notable Performances at Jersey Fresh International 3 Day

Sarah Hughes' Alcatraz

Summit Sporthorses' Powell
PC: Mary Stone

Ryan took three talented horses to the Jersey Fresh International 3 Day Event this past weekend, and continued the success he has seen thus far this season, with three good placings.

In the CCI2* division, where over 40 horses competed, Ryan finished an impressive third with Sarah Hughes’ Alcatraz. The 2005 Bay KWPN Gelding started off his weekend scoring a 44.3 on the flat, and jumped double clean in both phases to finish on his dressage score. Both the cross country and show jumping courses saw even some of the most experienced horses have problems, and Ryan was thrilled with the performance Alcatraz put forth all weekend long jumping phenomenally over very tricky tracks.

Ryan also competed Summit Sporthorses’ Powell in the CCI2*, starting things off with a 47.4 in the dressage phase of competition. Powell jumped very well on cross country producing a double clean round, and despite pulling two unfortunate rails in show jumping, still finished 12th in a very large division of skilled horse and rider combinations.

Frankie competed with Ryan in the CIC3* division and also had a notable weekend. Karri and Steve Guy’s 2004 Bay Thoroughbred Gelding added just 3.6 time faults on cross country to finish second overall and is certainly looking ready for a CCI3* later this season!

Ryan would like to thank everyone for their continued support. Full scores from the event can be found here- http://www.evententries.com/livescoring/15916.html.
