Rolex Kentucky CCI4* Recap

This past weekend marked the second four-star level completion for The Fernhill Classic Syndicate's Fernhill Classic at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event. Classic held it together in the big stadium atmosphere and we had our best score at the Advanced level to kick off the weekend.

Cross-country was tough! Unfortunately, we had a drive by at fence 4 which was a difficult combination so early in the course before we had our rhythm. We then recovered after a sticky moment at the first water and continued on to have a great ride through most of the course. I was too tentative coming into the final water and got there weak on an open distance which resulted in a stop, but we pushed on to complete the course. I learned a lot about Classic and he crossed through the finish flags as a more educated horse and better for it.

Classic jogged up great on the final day and we will continue to work on improving his show jumping. Competing at the four-star level is an achievement and we will be back better and stronger at our next start.

Thank you to my incredible team, owners, sponsors, and supporters that make it all possible!
