Ryan and the Woodstock Bennett Syndicate's Woodstock Bennett finished the The Irish Field CCI3* at Tattersalls International Horse Trials & Country Fair in Co Meath, Ireland in 17th place! It was a great accomplishment and successful first European competition for Ryan and Bennett. Bennett was imported to the United States in 2012 and came to Ryan as a four-year old. Ryan has produced him up the levels and this past week their trust and partnership showed in their brilliant performance.
Bennett was on his game all week. He delivered one of his best dressage tests to score a 35.0 and sat in 23rd out of 48 at the conclusion of dressage. Ian Stark designed a big, bold, and challenging cross-country course and Bennett answered every question with ease picking up only two time penalties. On the final day, the pair jumped a beautiful show jumping round only to have two unfortunate rails down to finish the competition in 17th place. It was a great finish to the horse's already impressive resume.
