Woodstock Eventing's Weekend at Plantation Field International

PC: Mary Patricia Stone
Summit Sporthorses' Ruby
Last weekend, Woodstock Eventing competed at Plantation Field International just down the road from Ryan's home base in Pennsylvania. Team Woodstock worked hard all weekend to prepare Ryan's five horses for the CIC1* and CIC2* divisions. Plantation Field always puts on a great event and Ryan and his team are grateful to have a top class venue in town to produce and prepare horses.

The CIC1* divisions were highly competitive and each division had over 50 horses competing for the top spot. Ryan rode Summit Sporthorses' Ruby, Mary Hazzard's Chusinmyconfession, and Julia Strawbridge's Zempat in the CIC1* A division. All horses put in solid performances in the dressage phase and jumped double clear on cross-country. Ruby finished the weekend in 2nd on her dressage score of 29.4, just 1.2 points off the lead. Chusinmyconfession and Zempat added just one rail to their dressage scores of 34 and 39.5 to finish 13th and 24th respectively.

The Woodstock Bennett Syndicate's Woodstock Bennett and the Fernhill Classic Syndicate's Fernhill Classic were both back in action since their impressive finishes this past spring and summer. Coming off his 17th place finish at Tattersalls CCI3* in May, Bennett had a strong and consistent performance in the CIC2*-B division to finish in 7th. Classic's dressage score improved by 5 points since his last CIC2* competition in June at Bromont. Ryan and Classic cruised around cross country and added a single rail to their dressage score of 31 to finish 11th in the CIC2*-A division.

Coming up next, Woodstock Eventing will travel to Leesburg, Virginia to compete at Morven Park Fall International Horse Trials with several horses.

Thank you David Frechette for the great videos!
