Woodstock Eventing Wraps Up a Weekend of Competition at the Virginia Horse Trials & Devon Horse Show

Woodstock Eventing had a busy Memorial Day weekend competing horses at both the Virginia Horse Trials and the Devon Horse Show. Thanks to Ryan's hard working team everything ran smoothly.

At the Virginia Horse Trials, Ryan rode the Woodstock Bennett Syndicate's Woodstock Bennettin the Advanced/Intermediate division. Bennett finished 5th after solid performances across all three phases. In the Open Preliminary division, Ryan rode Summit Sporthorses' Ruby and Julia Strawbridge's Zempat. Ruby finished the weekend in 11th place and added a single rail to her dressage score of 30.2. Zempat finished 19th and added a single rail and time penalties on cross country to his dressage score. Linda Ledray's Cooley Flight made his Preliminary debut in the Preliminary Horse division. He earned a 35.4 in dressage and added no penalties to finish in 4th.

On Sunday, Ryan and Mary Hazzard's Chusinmyconfession were one of 30 combinations that competed at the $50,000 Devon Arena Eventing at the Devon Horse Show & Country Fair in Devon, Pennsylvania. The course was 1,100 meters in length and included 26 obstacles designed by Capt. Mark Phillips. Ryan and Chusin jumped under the lights to finish 20th overall.
