Over the weekend Ryan traveled to Laytonsville, Maryland to compete 8 horses at Waredaca Horse Trials.
Mary Hazzard's Chusinmyconfession had great success at her second Intermediate finishing in 3rd place. Ryan and Chusin scored a 33.6 in dressage and only added a single rail in show jumping. Ryan has produced Chusin up the levels beginning in 2016 and together this year they finished in the top 20 in the $50,000 Devon Arena Evening class, 3rd in the CCI2*-S at the Fork H.T., and won the Open Preliminary division at Sporting Days Farm in February. Ryan is excited to see what the future has in store for this talented mare.
Summit Sporthorses' Powell has been easing back into competition over the last few months and finished 12th in the Open Preliminary over the weekend. Ryan and Powell sat in 6th place after dressage on a score of 33.7. They cruised around the cross country at a steady pace and picked up some time penalties. Ryan is looking forward to having Powell back competing at the top level of the sport again soon.

The Optimist finished 3rd on his dressage score of 33.8.
Julia Strawbridge's talented young mares, Ascot Girl and Carmella had great showings in their respective Novice level divisions. Ascot Girl finished the weekend in 3rd on her dressage score of 32.1 and Carmella won the Open Novice division on a 23.3!
