Woodstock Eventing is back from a big weekend at the Maryland Horse Trials and Area II Championships. It was a busy weekend for Ryan and Team with 12 horses competing from Beginner Novice to Preliminary. The Team worked hard to keep everything running smoothly, putting in 180 braids, and providing top individualized care for each horse, all which made for a successful weekend!
Woodstock Eventing topped the professional divisions. Ryan rode Carmella and Cooley Flight in the Open Preliminary-A division. Carmella owned by Julia Strawbridge won the division on her dressage score of 32.1 and Linda Ledray's Cooley Flight was close behind in 4th on a 35.4. In Open Preliminary-B, Julia Strawbridge's Cooley Cadbury took home the blue on a dressage score of 32.9 and Mary Hazzard's Chusinmyconfession had an excellent school competing in the combined test. Chusin scored a 31 in dressage and jumped a beautiful double clear round.
Ryan piloted 5 horses to top placings in the Open Training divisions. Julia Strawbridge's Insuspense finished 4th on a 35.5 and Curran Simpson's Cooley Continental finished 5th on a 37.7 in the Open Training-A division. Syndicate owned Bellavista won the Open Training-B division on a 30.5 and Woodstock Argo also had a great weekend to finish 5th on a 33.9. Julia Strawbridge's The Optimist competed in the Area II Championships and scored a 33.4 in dressage and jumped double clear to win Reserve Champion.
In Open Novice-A, Amy Peloquin's Cooley Quattro finished 3rd on a 31.3 and Annie Dewitt's Confidence Level finished 8th in Open Novice-B on a 34.3. Also, Ilona S. English's Ben Lomond won the Open Beginner Novice division on his dressage score of 28.
Overall, it was a fantastic weekend with every horse jumping clear show jumping and cross country!
