Woodstock Eventing Springs Back Into Competition

Checkpoint

Ryan is back in action since being sidelined by a leg injury. The Woodstock Eventing Team did a top notch job keeping all of the horses in work while Ryan was on the mend and each horse was eager to be out competing again. Ryan and his team traveled to Maryland Horse Trials July 2 and July 9-11 to compete with great success.

At the Maryland International Horse Trials, Ryan rode Curran Simpson's Cooley Continental and Woodstock Argo in the Open Training divisions. Cooley Continental scored a 34.5 in dressage and finished 6th on his dressage score in Open Training-A. In Open Training-B, Woodstock Argo scored a 35.5 in dressage and finished 5th on his dressage score.

Fernhill Domino

Last weekend, Ryan rode 6 horses at Maryland Horse Trials II. Rick and Julie Kriger's and Amy Peloquin's Castle Cavalier and the Fernhill Domino Syndicate's Fernhill Domino made their competition debuts in the YEH 4-Year-Old division. Castle Cavalier scored a 23.1, 59.15, and 82.25 to beat out 15 horses and win the division. Fernhill Domino finished at the top of the division in 4th with scores of 23.2, 57.75, and 81.05. Ryan is looking forward to an exciting future with these talented youngsters.

In Open Training-B Linda Ledray's Checkpoint finished 5th on his dressage score of 34.8. Open Preliminary-A division horses, Linda Ledray's Cooley Flight and Mary Hazzard's Chusinmyconfession only added time on cross-country to their dressage scores of 32 and 34.4 to finish 5th and 9th respectively. Young horse Bellavista, owned by the Bellavista Syndicate continues to impress and grow in confidence. She scored a 33 in dressage, had an unlucky rail down in showjumping, and some time on cross county to finish 9th.

Up next, Woodstock Eventing travels to the Horse Park of New Jersey Horse Trials II. Stay tuned!
